St George’s Park, is the oldest park in Port Elizabeth and on the last Sunday of each month  comes alive with a large concentration of art and craft stalls for the monthly Art in the Park event. It is also home to the world famous Port Elizabeth Cricket Club; the founder cricket club in South Africa. The most prominent feature on Port Elizabeth’s shoreline besides the harbours is Shark Rock Pier Located between Hobie Beach and the Red Windmill the pier is at the very centre of the Port Elizabeth beachfront and is a major landmark and drawcard.

This large park in the heart of the city with its wide lawns and shady plantations is an old favourite among residents and visitors alike.
The most prominent feature on Port Elizabeth’s shoreline besides the harbours, Shark Rock Pier is the only pier in the city.

Centrally located on Port Elizabeth’s beachfront, the Boardwalk not only offers the chance of a flutter in the casino, but a wide range of entertainment and places to shop and eat as well.

The Iron Man™

This competition is a triathlon that tests the endurance of its participants. It comprises a 3.8 kilometre swim, a 180 kilometre cycle and a 42.2 kilometre run, and is usually held in April. Athletes and spectators from all over the world flood into Port Elizabeth to witness the spectacle of strength and endurance.
